Calvert County Register of Wills

The Honorable Margaret H. Phipps was first elected as Register of Wills in November 1978. She is the 24th Register to serve the citizens of Calvert County. Among her many contributions to the Calvert community, Honorable Phipps serves as Chairperson, Maryland Register of Wills Automation Committee, 1992-Present, serves as a member of the Probate/Judiciary Subcommittee to the Rules Committee, serves as a member of the Estates and Trusts Section of Md. Bar Subcommittee with Registers, Orphans' Court Judges and Attorney General's Office, and is a member of many civic and professional organizations, including her church where she serves on the Finance Committee, and the Commission on Aging where she has served since 1978.

Denise M. Bowman, Esquire, Senior Counsel

Denise works with women throughout the Washington Metropolitan Region designing estate planning tailored to the unique needs of women. She has been practicing law for 32 years and has been recognized twice by the Daily Record as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women and is an AV Preeminent Rated Attorney. Denise will share information on the many legal forms needed to include in your estate plan including medical, financial, and personal forms. She will also share her popular Family Love Letters program to document your most personal wishes and assist your loved ones following your passing.
